Calvi honored
Mark Calvi, whose work as pitching coach at South Carolina played a major role in the Gamecocks' NCAA championship, has been named pitching coach of the year by Collegiate Baseball News. Calvi has since left USC to become head coach in waiting at South Alabama. He will take over in 2012.
