USC sets scrimmages
The University of South Carolina begins spring workouts with scrimmages Friday (3:30 p.m.), Saturday (1 p.m.) and Sunday (1:30 p.m.) at Carolina Stadium.

    Defending national champion South Carolina is No. 7 in Baseball America's preseason top 25 announced today. Clemson is No. 10 and College of Charleston No. 20. No. 1 Florida is coached by ex-Clemson assistant Kevin O'Sullivan and No. 4 Vanderbilt is coached by ex-Tigers assistant Tim Corbin.
