Furman announces 12 signees
Furman has announced the signing for 12 players for its recruiting class for the 2011-12 school year. Four are from South Carolina.

  • Wilhelm memorial service set
    A memorial service for former Clemson coach Bill Wilhelm will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jervey Gym on Clemson's campus.

  • Leggett to be honored
    Clemson coach Jack Leggett will be presented the Palmetto Patriot Award at halftime of Saturday's home basketball game against Miami. The Palmetto Patriot Program was established by S.C. Lieutenant Governor Andre Bauer and recognizes individuals "who have made outstanding contributions to their fellow citizens and the state of South Carolina." Leggett has 769 wins in 17 seasons at Clemson Under his direction the Tigers have made 16 NCAA Tournament appearances and six trips to the College World Series. Leggett has 1,146 career wins on 31 seasons overall.
