South Carolina ranks fourth and Clemson seventh nationally in both average and total home atttendance after their three-game series to open the season. USC trails SEC rivals LSU, Mississippi and Arkansas. Texas and Mississippi State also are ahead of Clemson.

Adam Miller of USC Beaufort was named The Sun Conference pitcher of the week for his complete-game shutout of Ave Maria.
