Mount Olive is the choice to win the Conference Carolinas championship this season according to a preseason poll of league coaches. Erskine is picked fourth, North Greenville fifth, Limestone sixth and Coker eighth.

Southern Wesleyan, hoping to gain NCAA membership, has released a new logo for its athletic teams. In an attempt to curry favor with the politically correct NCAA, the school has ditched its Native America-themed imagery for Knights of the Round Table-type theme.
