Why are we celebrating a student athlete of questionable character? Oh wait I know because he is a former "Gamecock" There are so many more good kids out there we can honor

I can't speak for my readers, but I'm not "celebrating" anything. I included the Ethan Carter item because he played at a state school (USC) and I thought some fans of that school would be interested in his accomplishment. Also, his performance came against a state school (Anderson) and in a conference (Peach Belt) with state schools as members. I would do the same if I found the same information about a former player from any other state school. I'll be glad to recognize the achievement of "good kids" anytime they win a similar award and have some tie to the state of South Carolina. I'm sure almost every school has student-athletes of "questionable character." Some are fortunate enough to avoid having their flaws exposed publicly. I try to be impartial in my blog posts. If that's not good enough for you, I apologize. Thanks for writing.
