Twelve members of Furman's baseball team are involved in collegiate summer leagues this year.

RIP Alva Phillips
Alva Phillips, a Greenville native, former minor-league player and longtime coach of Greenville American Legion Post 3's baseball team, died earlier this week. His sons, Al Phillips and Randy Phillips, also starred in baseball. Randy worked in the Red Sox system for several years.
