Ex-Gamecock suspended for role in Arkansas fracas
Former University of South Carolina player Trent Kline, now an assistant coach at Central Arkansas, has been suspended for four games for his involvement in a benches-clearing incident on Wednesday involving UCA and Arkansas Little Rock. UCA's Website indicates Kline wears uniform No. 4 and one of the people involved is wearing a white uniform with the No. 4. Seven players from the two teams also drew suspensions of four or eight games.
Kline played for USC in 2006 and 2007, compiling a .324 batting average, 10 homers and 64 RBIs in 116 games.
