Tim Wallace's teams have won 40 or more games in 21 of his 23 seasons as head baseball coach at Spartanburg Methodist College. |
Pioneers' Wallace inducted
Spartanburg Methodist coach Tim Wallace on Friday night was inducted into the NJCAA Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in Grand Junction, Colo. His selection was announced earlier this year.
Conveniently, the Pioneers earned a chance to be there with their coach by winning a spot in the NJCAA World Series. The tournament begins Saturday, but SMC doesn't play until Sunday.
Wallace, who has brought nine teams to the national event, joins former Pioneers coach Lon Joyce in the Hall of Fame.
Below is a Spartanburg Herald-Jounal story about Wallace's big day.
