Pairings announced for NJCAA Eastern District Tournament

USC Sumter coach Tim Medlin today announced the pairings and scheduled for the NJCAA Eastern District Tournament this weekend at Riley Park in Sumter.

The four-team, double-elimination event will determine one participant in the NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Colo.

USC Sumter qualified by winning the Region 10 Tournament. Spartanburg Methodist was the Region 10 regular-season champion. ASA won the Region 15 championship and Harford for the Region 20 tournament.

Friday
Game 1: No. 2 seed Harford CC (MD) vs. No. 3 Spartanburg Methodist, 3 p.m.
Game 2: No. 1 USC Sumter vs. No. 4 ASA (NY), 6 p.m.

Saturday
Game 3 : Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2, noon
Game 4: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2, 3 p.m.
Game 5: Winner Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4, 6 p.m.

Sunday
Game 6: Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5, 1 p.m.
If the winner of Game 5 also wins Game 6, the championship game will be played 45 minutes after the completion of Game 6.

On Friday the higher seed will be the home team. On Saturday and Sunday the home team will be decided by a coin toss. The team that has traveled the greater distance will call the toss. The umpire crew chief will toss the coin.

Ticket prices

Adult, day pass (admission for all games on that day), $8
Children under 12 with a paying adult, free
Children 12 and over will be charged as an adult
Adult tournament pass (admission for all three days, all games), $20
