Clemson-USC series continues Greenville presence
The neutral site game in the three-game Clemson-South Carolina baseball series will continue to be Greenville's Fluor Field through 2018, it was announced Wednesday.

Monte Lee, who coached College of Charleston to the NCAA super regional round this season, has received an eight-year contract extension at his alma mater.

Baseball America's draft database indicates USC outfielder Tanner English has yet to come to terms with the Minnesota Twins, who picked him in the 11th round of the MLB draft earlier this month. The Website has a searchable database. Enjoy.

Clemson catcher Chris Okey, The Citadel pitcher Skylar Hunter and College of Charleston pitcher Bailey Ober are playing on USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team.

Big League host team set
USC commitment L.T. Tolbert of Wren is among those named to the District 1 (host) team for the Big League World Series later this summer in Easley.

USC recruits in tryouts
Tolbert was one of four USC commitments participating in USA baseball's Tournament of Stars last week. He hit .429 (6-for-14) with 4 RBIs and two stolen bases. He has been invited to the tryouts for the USA Baseball 18 & under national team.

Gamecock commitment Chris Cullen, a catcher from Cumming, Ga. also earned was invited to the 18U tryout. Cullen hit .357 with a homer and 4 RBIs.

Outfielder Danny Blair, a USC commitment from Bel Air, Md.,went 0-for-6. Pitcher Cody Morris, a USC commitment from Laurel, Md., had a 0-1 record and 0.00 ERA with seven strikeouts in five innings.

Coastal Carolina commitment Josh Crump, a pitcher from Northwestern High in Rock Hill, joined Tolbert and Morris in being invited to the national team tryouts.
