Catawba picked to win SAC
Catawba is the favorite to win the South Atlantic Conference baseball championship according to a preseason poll of coaches. Newberry is picked fourth, Anderson seventh and Coker 11th.

Anderson first baseman Steven Cooper, Newberry third baseman Albert Baur and Newberry pitcher Wesley Camp were voted to the preseason all-conference team.

Three Newberry players -- outfielder Alex Kirby, starting pitcher Cole Cromer and reliever Daniel Nations -- were second-team selections.

USC Upstate is picked to finish seventh in the Atlantic Sun Conference this baseball season according to a preseason vote of league coaches. Kennesaw State is picked to win the league.

 Erskine is picked to finish second to Mount Olive in the Conference Carolinas this baseball season according to a vote of league coaches. Limestone is picked eighth and North Greenville 10th.
