College of Charleston (5-0 for the week)
(beat Georgia Southern; beat Coastal Carolina; went 3-0 vs. Furman)

College of Charleston solidified its position as the state's top team this season with another outstanding week.

Coach Monte Lee's Cougars got the week off to a rousing start with a four-run ninth innings to beat Georgia Southern 7-56, on Tuesday. A night later, they completed a regulars-season sweep of the state's other ranked team, Coastal Carolina.

A weekend sweep of Furman capped a 5-0 week for the Cougars, who moved back into first place in the Colonial Athletic Association when UNC Wilmington lost two of three to Elon.
