News digest, March 28, part 2

Furman/Clemson game may air outside S.C.
Tuesday's Furman/Clemson game at Fluor Field in Greenville will be televised on the American Sports Network, which consists primarily of stations broadcasting on digital subchannels.

ASN officials declined to make available a list of stations carrying the game. Here's a list of those I've been able to discover. For other areas, click on the link below and enter your zip code to see if a station in your area will be carrying the game. Those listed as "other possibilities" below all are listed as carrying the American Sports Network's 24-hour programming feed.

These are all over-the-air channels. Some cable systems may carry the channels, too.

South Carolina
Charleston - Channel 36-1
Columbia - WACH, Channel 57-2
Florence/Myrtle Beach - WWMB, Channel 21-3 (perhaps also WPDE 15-2)
Greenville/Spartanburg/Anderson/Asheville - WMYA, Channel 40-1
Savannah/Hilton Head - WTGS, Channel 28-1, 28-2 or 28-3

Other possibilities

Gamecocks No. 1 in unofficial RPI
South Carolina rode its weekend sweep to the No. 1 spot in today's RPI simulations at BoydsWorld.com and WarrenNolan.com. Both sites say their rankings are unofficial, but very close to the official numbers used by the NCAA. Clemson is No. 6 in the unofficial RPI on both sites.
