Bulldogs dismiss three players
Drew Ellis, Austin Mapes and Phillip Watcher have been dismissed from The Citadel's baseball team, The Post and Courier in Charleston reported Wednesday. Earlier this season the players were suspended from the team indefinitely because of an undisclosed violation of team rules.

Four S.C. teams projected for NCAA tournament
Clemson, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston and South Carolina are included in D1Baseball.com's midseason projection of the NCAA Tournament field.
South Carolina is shown as the No. 8 national seed and Clemson is projected as one of 16 regional hosts.
