Beer, Webb honored
Clemson outfielder Seth Beer and South Carolina pitcher Braden Webb were named first-team freshman all-American Monday by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

Krall returning
Clemson left-hander Pat Krall announced Sunday that he will return to the Tigers for his senior season. Krall, who transferred from Temple after that school dropped baseball, became one of Clemson's top pitchers this season.

Chanticleers to play at 8 p.m. Sunday
Coastal Carolina's first-round game in the College World Series is set for 8 p.m. Sunday at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb. The Chanticleers will play the winner of the Florida-Florida State Super Regional, which is supposed to conclude Monday night.
