News digest, Feb. 20

Weekly program airs on Sirius/XM
PerfectGameUSA and Sirius/XM satellite radio are producing a weekly two-hour program devoted to college baseball. It airs at 9 p.m. (eastern) each Monday night on Channel 84. College of Charleston coach Matt Heath is one of the scheduled guests tonight.  As a side note, several college baseball games are carried on Sirius/XM channels, usually after basketball winds down.

Buccaneers alter schedule
Charleston Southern's scheduled Tuesday game at Savannah State has been rescheduled for May 3.

Gamecocks recap weekend
South Carolina has posted notes recapping its weekend series with UNC Greensboro.

Odd facts known by few
* Virginia Tech's three-game sweep at USC Upstate was the first road sweep for the Hokies since 2013.
* Rock Hill native Sammy Taormina of Liberty University was named Big South player for the week after going 6-for-11 (.545) at the Charleston Crab House Shootout.
