USC's Crowe is No. 19 draft prospect
Baseball America's latest Top 100 prospects list for the June MLB draft has South Carolina junior right-hander Wil Crowe at No. 19 and teammate Clarke Schmidt at No. 25. Clemson recruit Sam Keating, a right-hander from Fort Myers, Fla., is No. 51. Gamecocks recruit Luis Campusano, a catcher from Augusta, is No. 68.

Conference alignments changing
This news has been out there for a while, but I'd missed it.
* Pfeiffer's athletics program is dropping from NCAA Division II to Division III (non-scholarship). The school will move from Conference Carolinas to the USA South Conference effective later this year.
* Brevard, now in the South Atlantic Conference, also is transitioning to Division III, with eventual membership in the USA South Conference.  Brevard is not as far along in the process as Pfeiffer.

* Clemson has sent out notes on its ACC series against Boston College in Kingston, R.I.

* South Carolina has posted preview information for its SEC home series with Alabama. Hanna High product Adam Hill will get a second straight Friday start and usual Friday starter Clarke Schmidt is scheduled to start on Sunday.

* Furman opens Southern Conference play at Wofford this weekend. The Paladins' series notes follow.

* Coker has issued preview information on its weekend home series against Wingate in South Atlantic Conference play.
