Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, May 22-28: Presbyterian

Presbyterian (3-2)
(reached championship game of Big South Conference Tournament)

Presbyterian's Elton Pollock continues to do great work as head coach at his alma mater. The Blue Hose, picked to finish eighth in the preseason poll of Big South Conference coaches, finished third in the regular season and won a school-record 15 Big South games.

PC (32-29) set a school NCAA Division I record for wins in a season and got to the championship game of the conference tournament before losing to Radford Sunday afternoon.

That's quite a feat for one of the smallest schools in Division I and one that is a disadvantage in resourse compared to most of the teams it plays.

Also considered (record for week)
Furman (4-2) -- reached SoCon Tournament title game
South Carolina (3-2) -- snapped eight-game SEC Tournament losing streak
Winthrop (3-2) -- had three walk-off wins to reach Big South Tournament title game
