(beat Kennesaw State, beat Presbyterian, went 3-0 at Virginia)
It wouldn't be fair to say Clemson was "struggling" April 17, but a second consecutive midweek loss to Georgia was the Tigers' fourth in loss in five games.
For sure, the Tigers have righted the ship since then.
Clemson (34-11) held on for a 9-8 victory at Virginia on Sunday to complete its second consecutive road sweep in ACC play and stretch its overall winning streak to eight games. While the Tigers were sweeping the Cavaliers, N.C. State was being swept by North Carolina. That allowed Clemson to take a two-game lead in the Atlantic Division standings with six games left in ACC play.
The Tigers take a break for exams before beginning a Friday-Monday home series with Florida State.
