Where S.C.'s NCAA Division I teams stand in their conference races, April 29

Atlantic Coast Conference
* Clemson (34-11 overall, 17-7) has a two-game lead over N.C. State in the Atlantic Division with two weeks of conference play remaining. The Tigers are a game behind Coastal leader North Carolina (18-6) in the race for the overall top seed for the ACC Tournament. Up next is Florida State in a Friday-Sunday series at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Atlantic Sun Conference
* USC Upstate
 (22-24-1, 5-10) is in a tie with New Jersey Tech for seventh place, a half-game behind North Florida and a game behind Lipscomb. The Spartans' next conference series is at home against Jacksonville May 11-13.

Big South Conference
* Winthrop
 (20-22, 12-6) is tied with High Point for third place, a half-game behind Liberty and three games behind first-place Campbell. The Eagles are at Charleston Southern next weekend.
* Presbyterian (13-33, 6-15) is in ninth place, a game behind Longwood and UNC Asheville and a half-game ahead of Charleston Southern. The Blue Hose's next conference series is at home against Longwood May 11-13.
* Charleston Southern (13-29, 4-14) is in 10th place, a half-game behind UNC Asheville. The Buccaneers host Winthrop next weekend.

Colonial Athletic Association
* College of Charleston (30-15, 12-6) is in second place, 1.5 games behind Northeastern and 1.5 ahead of Elon. The Cougars are at Towson next weekend.

Southeastern Conference
* South Carolina (26-18, 11-10) is tied with Vanderbilt for third place in the East Division, a game behind Georgia with three weeks remaining. The Gamecocks are in a three-way tie for fifth place in the overall standings. Ahead is a home series with Mississippi next weekend.

Southern Conference
* Wofford (29-16, 10-5) is in a second-place tie with Samford, two games behind UNC Greensboro, with three league series remaining. Wofford and Samford go head-to-head next weekend in Birmingham.
* Furman (21-23, 6-9) is in seventh place, two games behind East Tennessee State and two ahead of The Citadel. Up next is a home series with last-place Western Carolina.
* The Citadel (15-27. 4-11) is in eighth place, two games behind Furman and 3.5 games ahead of WCU. The Bulldogs are at East Tennessee State next weekend.

Sun Belt Conference
* Coastal Carolina
 (31-14, 17-4) is in first place in the East Division, 3.5 games ahead of South Alabama with three weeks of league play remaining. Louisiana, a game behind first-place Little Rock in the West Division, is the Chanticleers next league series. It is in Lafayette.
