USC Sumter plays ASA College of New York at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the NJCAA Eastern District Tournament at Wappingers Falls, N.Y.

Games are being played at Dutchess Stadium.

The four-team, double-elimination event will determine the district's representative in the NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Colo., later this season.

Sumter qualified for district by winning the Region 10 Tournament. Monroe Community College is the top seed.
