State schedule, Feb. 8-10

Florence-Darlington Tech risks its unbeaten record with four games in a tournament in Florida as part of  a busy weekend schedule.

The Stingers (4-0) are playing in the Capital City Bank Classic in Palatka, with St. John's River State serving as the host team.

Elsewhere, Newberry and North Greenville play a three-game series in Tigerville in the only matchup of state teams.

USC Union becomes the final state junior college to open its schedule, playing a pair of home doubleheaders against Catawba Valley CC.

USC Sumter, the only other unbeaten among state teams who have played a game this season, has a home series with Pitt CC. Pitt was a longtime NJCAA Division I member, but moved to Division II a few years back. Pitt is No. 12 in the NJCAA Division II preseason poll.
