Clemson 8, Kennesaw State 6

The Tigers committed six errors, but scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning at Doug Kingsmore Stadium to get the 3,000th win in program history.

Clemson is the ninth NCAA Division I program to do so. North Carolina joined the select group Friday with a win over East Carolina.

Kennesaw State took a 6-5 lead in the seventh, but Jacob Hinderleider's second homer of the game tied the score in the eighth and the Tigers pushed across two more later in the inning.

Cam Cannarella had three hits - including a homer - and drove in four to extend his hitting streak to 15 games going back to 2023. Jack Crighton had four hits - one a double - and scored twice as Clemson rebounded from an 18-1 loss in the series opener on Friday.

The series concludes at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Hunter Looper's single to left field gave the Patriots a walk-off win and completed a doubleheader sweep of  their Conference Carolinas rival Braves, ranked fifth nationally in NCAA Division II, at Sparrow Stadium. The Patriots won the opener, 10-6.

Pablo Austin's three-run double capped a four-run seventh inning in Game 2 as the Bruins snapped a nine-game losing streak to open the season. Guilford took the opener, 4-1.

Presbyterian 3, St. Joseph's 2, 10 innings
Ryan Ouzts scored on a wild pitch in the 10th inning to give Presbyterian a walk-off win. PC had tied the score in the eighth when Rhogue Wallace scored on a throwing error as Jack Gorman stole second base. Joel Dragoo hit his fifth homer of the season for the Blue Hose. 

Elsewhere: Trotter Harlan's grand slam highlighted an 11-run sixth inning as unbeaten College of Charleston whipped Youngstown State ... South Carolina had several long fly balls knocked down on the warning track by a strong wind early to keep the score close and Belmont scored the game's final 11 runs to even the series and hand the Gamecocks their first loss of the season ... Coastal Carolina's Alexander Meckley struck out eight in a complete game and Caden Bodine doubled and homered to drive in three runs in a win over Ball State ... Charleston Southern scored in its first seven innings - including seven in the sixth - to even the series with Lehigh. Leadoff batter Cade Conway had his streak of consecutive hits ended at 10, but he went 4-for-5 and drove in four runs ... Zac Cowan struck out eight in six innings and Wofford got 14 hits and 11 walks in a rout of Fairleigh Dickinson ... Davis Wright struck out 10 in a six-inning one-hitter for Spartanburg Methodist against East Georgia and Owen Austin struck 11 in a five-inning three hitter against USC Salkehatchie as the Pioneers won a pair of shutouts at Mooneyham Field ...
