Anderson

Tro-jantics: Monday's walk-off win over Emory & Henry rally gave Anderson its first South Atlantic Conference series win of the season ... Kye Andress, Carlos Hernandez and Gray Wells share the team lead with 17 RBI. Andress also has three of the Trojans' eight homers. 

Benedict

Bene-feats: The Tigers have stolen 84 bases in 89 attempts, led by Justin Murray (16-for-17) and Jamell Mitchell Jr. (15-for-16). Mitchell is batting .519, while Murray is at .447 with a team-leading 16 RBI ... Nicholas Giola has two of Benedict's three complete games, both victories.

Bob Jones

Bru-insights: Rain claimed three games last week, with a 1-0 loss to Columbia International the only game to be played. BJU's only shutout win in school history was in a first-round win over Kansas Christian in the National Christian College Athletic Association playoffs in 2021, the program's first season.

Charleston Southern

Buc blasts: Cade Conway leads the team with a .489 batting average, with Chandler Tuopo next at .400 ... Relievers have all five wins this season. Leading the bullpen is Evan Truitt (2-0, 1.84, 1 save). He has allowed 8 hits, walked 3 and struck out 16 in 14 2/3 innings ... CSU coach Marc MacMillan is going to the bullpen an average of three times per game.

Claflin

Claf-lines: Chesnee High grad Kobe Miller is batting .440. He has hit safely in his last four games and 11 of the last 12 ... Opponents have scored at least 10 runs in 12 of the last 13 games ... The Panthers have given up 235 hits and 134 walks in 132 1/3 innings. 

Clemson

Tiger tales:  Andrew Ciufo's 12th-inning homer to beat South Carolina on Saturday marked the first walk-off homer to beat the Gamecocks in Clemson history ... Tristan Smith has struck out 20 batters in 13 2/3. The staff 100 Ks in 93 innings ... Clemson has 22 homers in 10 games, led by Will Taylor's 4 (all all last week).

Coastal Carolina

Chant-sphere:  Zack Beach has 6 of the Chanticleers' 18 home runs ... The Chanticleers are hitting .315 as a team, led by Jake Books at .424 ... Coastal and USC Upstate, who play Tuesday and Wednesday at Springs Brooks Stadium, have met just twice before - both in Conway. Upstate won the first meeting in 1986 and Coastal took the most recent game in 2009.

Coker

Snake strikes: The Cobras are off to a 7-2 start in South Atlantic Conference play, good for a first-place tie with Limestone ... Jaylen Mack's 21 RBI lead the team, with Kody Hanna (13) the only other player in double figures. Coker has 73 stolen bases in 18 games, led by Jacob Yarberry (12) and Cameron Ferrell (10).

College of Charleston

Cougar curves: Kevin Madden leads the team with a .436 batting average and has hit safely in all 10 games ... Trotter Harlan's homer on Sunday gave him the team lead (3) ... Dariyan Pendergrass was solid as a table-setter in his tenure at Spartanburg Methodist. His on-base percentage is .370 - eighth among regulars - this season ... The Cougars have a 2.67 staff  ERA, with starters Jake Brink (0.96), Aidan Hunter (1.46) and Connor Campbell (1.86) at the forefront.

Columbia International

Ram-egrams: James Lovera went 0-for-8 in his first two games last week, but finished 5-for-8. He is batting .368 and is 13-for-13 in stolen bases ... Shane Hammonds was 5-for-14 against Bluefield and has hit safely in six of his last seven games ... Graham Peeler had an eight-game hitting streak snapped when he had an RBI groundout in a pinch-hit appearance in the finale of the Bluefield series ... Even with a 1-0 shutout of Bob Jones last week, the staff ERA is 10.41.

Erskine

Fleet filberts:  The 17-0 win in the finale of the King series ended a six-game losing streak that pushed Erskine's record below .500 even though it has outscored its opponents by 57 runs ... Opponents have been successful on 52 of 57 stolen base attempts ... Alex Heintz has 43 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings. The staff has 180 strikeouts in 160 1/3 innings.

Florence-Darlington Tech

Stinger zingers: Tech leads Region 10 with 10 triples, but no player has more than two ... Rom Kellis leads the Stingers with a .424 batting average and 23 RBI ... Michael Gibson has a 2-1 record, a 2.50 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 17 innings and a .381 batting average with 3 homers in limited appearance in the lineup.

Patriot-ics: Zack Summerville has been held hitless in three of his last four games, but still leads the team in batting average (.397) ... Chas DeBruhl has a 1.08 ERA ... FMU pitchers have almost as many walks (80) as strikeouts (85).

Reece Fields' Saturday no-hitter against Southern Wesleyan lowered his ERA to 0.79. He has struck out 48 in 34 innings while allowing 13 hits and 5 walks.

Kilt kernels: After an 0-for-2 day in Game 1 against St. Bonaventure to end a season-opening nine-game hitting streak, Joel Dragoo went 6-for-8 in the final two games to raise his batting average to .538. He has 6 homers and 27 RBI in 12 games ... Brody Fahr's average dropped to .514 after he went 0-for-5 in his most recent game ... Charlie McDaniel has struck out 22 in 15 1/3 innings and Fenix DiGiacomo has fanned 21 in 16.
