Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, April 29-May 5: Presbyterian

Presbyterian (3-0)
(went 3-0 at Charleston Southern)

The Blue Hose of coach Elton Pollock have been hovering around .500 overall for most of the season, but have cobbled together an outstanding 15-6 record in Big South Conference play. Their series win over Charleston Southern was their sixth in seven conference series this year.

PC's only league series loss was an 0-3 weekend against High Point (13-5). The Blue Hose trail the Panthers by percentage points in the standings and have a half-game lead based on games played. PC has three Big South games remaining (8-10 UNC Asheville), while High Point has six (4-11 Winthrop, 7-11 Gardner-Webb).
