* Lander liners: Ethan Wilder has gone 13-for-25 during a six-game hitting streak ... Connor Droze hit his 20th homer, tying him with Connor Lewis for second place in school history. Zach Daly his 23 in 2016. Droze has a school-record 38 career homers ... Anson Merrick lowered his ERA to 2.36 by allowing a run in seven innings against USC Aiken. That is lower than the school record 2.44 for Chris Thomas in 2012.

* Indian items: Friday's 13-0 no-hit loss to Gaston College was the second for Salkehatchie this season. Georgia Highlands didn't allow a hit in an 11-2 win March 2. It also was the seventh time the Indians have been shut out.

* Ant hills: Luke Taylor was 6-for-33 this season entering Sunday. He was 7-for-9 in two games and hit a game-winning three-run shot in the 11th against USC Lancaster

* Uppercuts: Koby Kropf has vaulted to the team lead in homers (18) and batting average (.372). He had a streak of five straight game with a home run. snapped in the nightcap against High Point on Friday ... The Panthers outhomered the Spartans, 16-9 in the series. High Point had nine homers in Game 1. The Panthers' Peyton Carr had five homers, including three in Game 1.
Winthrop
* Eagle eggstra: Harrison Wilson has a 14-game hitting streak, hitting two of his four season homers in that time. Wilson struck out 10 Queens batters in four innings Feb. 27, but has not pitched since ... Ricky Teel has hit safely in five of his last six games raining his batting average from .194 to .267 ... Jaylen Hernandez has a five-game hitting streak.
