Former Gamecocks out at Rice
Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball.com reports pitching coach Parker Bangs and director of player development D.C. Arendas will not return to the Rice coaching staff next season. Former Texas coach David Pierce was named coach in March about a week after Jose Cruz Jr. was fired. Bangs briefly served as interim coach after Cruz's firing. Both Bangs and Arendas played at South Carolina.
