NCAA Auburn Super Regional
Coastal Carolina 7, Auburn 6, 10 innings -
Caden Bodine's second home run of the game gave the Chanticleers (52-11) the lead and second baseman Blake Barthol started a pair of crucial double plays in the final two innings to move Coastal within one win of a College World Series berth in the opener of the best-of-three Auburn Super Regional.

The Chanticleers built a 6-1 lead, but Auburn rallied to tie in the seventh. The Tigers had two runners on with one out in the bottom of the ninth when Barthol fielded a line drive from Lucas Steele and threw to Ty Dooley to double off the lead runner at second base.

Bodine's one-out blast in the 10th inning put Coastal ahead. In the bottom of the inning, Auburn got a leadoff walk and sacrificed the runner to second. Bodine again speared a line drive - this time from Chase Fralick - and got the ball to Dooley to end the game.

Blagen Pado also homered twice and Barthol and Sebastian Alexander added two hits apiece for the Chanticleers, who have won 22 straight games. Game 2 is set for 3 p.m. Saturday
