Clemson took the lead with a four-run fourth inning and took advantage of control issues from South Carolina pitchers for a 10-2 win at Segra Park in Columbia on Saturday, clinching a series victory.

The Tigers' Nick Hoffman allowed only an unearned run in five innings to help Clemson move to 10-0. 

Cooper Ingle, Bryar Hawkins and Max Wagner had two hits apiece for Clemson, while Chad Fairey and Benjamin Blackwell drove in two runs apiece.

South Carolina (7-3) is dealing with a laundry list of pitching injuries. Transfer Noah Hall got the start and pitched into the fourth inning before tiring. Hall and his successors struggled to throw strikes. The Gamecocks walked nine, hit a batter and threw six wild pitches. Clemson scored two runs on wild pitches, two on bases-loaded walks, another run on an error.

Michael Braswell had two hits for Carolina, which will try to avoid being swept in Game 3 on Sunday at Clemson. First pitch is at 3 p.m., with the game scheduled for the ACC Network.
