Defending NCAA Division II national champ North Greenville plays three times in a tournament at the Houston Astros' Minute Maid Park, while Florence-Darlington Tech competes in an event full of elite junior college teams in Panama City Beach, Fla.
Several new coaches make their debuts on Friday, all with home games:
* Morris' Zay Paul openswith a 1 p.m. game against Virginia State.
* Matt Robinson of Southern Wesleyan has a 4 p.m. game with Emory & Henry.
* Coker alum Fico Kondla directs the Cobras in a 4 p.m. game with Belmont Abbey.
* Michael Holder, who led USC Aiken under "interim" status last season, is without that tag entering a 4 p.m. game with Carson-Newman.
