Indiana 7, Coastal Carolina 2
A day after scoring 26 runs, Coastal Carolina found the offense much harder to come by as pitchers took center stage in the Hoosiers' win on Day 2 of Baseball at the Beach.

Indiana's Connor Foley and the Chanticleers' Alexander Meckley were locked in a scoreless duel until the fifth, when the Hoosiers pushed across a pair of runs.

Coastal reciprocated in the sixth, although both runs were unearned.

IU's Brandon Burckel broke the tie with an eighth-inning homer to left and Tyler Cerny and A.J. Shepherd drove in two runs apiece in the ninth to give Indiana some breathing room.

The Chanticleers were held to six hits and struck out 10 times. While the Hoosiers had 10 hits, they struck out 12 times.

The round-robin event concludes Sunday as Indiana meets George Mason and Coastal Faces Duke.

The homestanding Warriors tied the game on a ninth-inning wild pitch and won it on an 11th-inning bases-loaded walk to salvage the final game of the Conference Carolinas series.
