The NCAA Division I Baseball Committee has been studying the proposal, and could present an analysis during the American Baseball Coaches Association convention in San Diego this weekend, Baseball America reports.
On the surface, this sounds fair. If this happens, would the warm weather schools be willing to give up some home games in order to boost their RPI? If so, would they play challenging road games, or just visit some of the teams who have been traditional early season home fodder?
What do you think?
Meanwhile, Kendall Rogers of Rivals.com is blogging from the convention. Here are his reports from the first day.

I'll be curious to see how this proposal turns out. Van Zant hasn't been known to make many friends in coaching circles, if you catch my drift.
