Beer breaks new ground in ACC baseball
Clemson outfielder Seth Beer on Monday became the first player in Atlantic Coast Conference baseball history to be named both player of the year and freshman of the year as voted on by league coaches.

Beer is batting .378 with 15 home runs and and 60 RBIs. He has reached base in 53 of 54 games this season.

Pitcher Andrew Beckwith of Coastal Carolina was named pitcher of the year, teammate Connor Owings was named player of the year and Gary Gilmore was named coach of the year in the Big South  Conference in voting by league coaches.
