Sunday's S.C. college baseball roundup, May 27

Sun Belt, Lafayette, La.
* Regular-season champion Coastal Carolina (42-17) got three hits from Seth Lancaster and three RBIs from Zach Biermann to beat Troy, 11-6, and claim the tournament title.

Troy scored a run in the first inning, but the Chanticleers responded two runs in both the second and third innings.  After the Trojans got a run in the fifth, Coastal took command with five runs in the bottom of the inning.

Biermann was named tournament most outstanding player and was joined on the all-tournament team by Lancaster, Parker Chavers and Kevin Woodall Jr.

ACC, Durham, N.C.
*Florida State scored three runs in the 10th inning to beat Louisville, 11-8, and claim the championship. Clemson's Seth Beer, Logan Davidson and Chris Williams earned all-tournament team berths.

SEC, Hoover, Ala.
* Mississippi claimed the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament with a 9-1 win over LSU. South Carolina's L.T. Tolbert was named to the all-tournament team.

Southern, Greenville
* Branden Fryman's two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning completed Samford's 14-4 run-rule victory over Mercer in the tournament championship at Fluor Field. Fryman is the son of former Detroit Tiger Travis Fryman. Wofford's McClain Bradley was selected to the all-tournament team.
