* NCAA Division I:  Coastal Carolina (33-11, 17-4) scored five runs in the eighth innings to wrap up a Sun Belt Conference series sweep at James Madison (13-31, 6-15) ... Kentucky (25-16, 10-11) took advantage of shaky South Carolina (25-20, 5-16) defense to win the rubber game of the SEC series ... College Charleston (24-19, 8-10) broke a tie with two unearned runs in the seventh inning to salvage the finale of its CAA series with UNC Wilmington (23-20, 11-7) ... The Citadel (23-19, 7-5) smashed 15 hits as it completed a SoCon series sweep of VMI (25-20, 5-10) ... Owen Sarna struck out 11 in 6 2/3 innings and Winthrop (25-21, 11-7) coasted to a Big South series sweep-clinching win at Longwood (10-34, 4-14) ... Scott Campbell singled, doubled, homered, scored three runs and drove in three as USC Upstate (24-21, 11-4) finished off a Big South series sweep at Gardner-Webb (16-28, 5-13) ... Aidan McCaskie's 11th-inning squeeze bunt gave Charleston Southern (24-16, 10-8) the lead en route to a series-clinching win over Big South rival Presbyterian (17-24, 9-9) ... High Point  (30-14) pulled away from Wofford (25-19) in both games of a doubleheader to complete a nonconference series sweep

* Conference Carolinas: Charley Bussey III knocked in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning for the second straight day and Francis Marion (39-11) wrapped up a nonconference sweep of Newberry (25-25)

* Peach Belt Conference: Mario Lopez singled, homered and drove in four runs as Lander (37-13, 23-4) clinched a tie for the Peach Belt Conference regular-season title with a win over Georgia Southwestern (29-21, 16-11) ... Jack Hobson hit his fourth home run of the series for USC Aiken (22-27, 11-16) as it completed a sweep of USC Beaufort (9-37, 5-22).  Hobson was 10-for-14 with 7 runs scored and 13 RBI for the weekend.

* South Atlantic Conference: Ick Cirino had two hits in each game as Coker (29-20, 16-13) clinched fifth seed for the conference tournament with a sweep of Tusculum (17-31, 10-19) ... Lenoir-Rhyne (40-9, 23-7) got a pair of shutouts to complete a SAC series sweep at Anderson (24-25, 11-19).

* Other four-year:  Miguel Rubio delivered a walk-off RBI single for the second straight day as Voorhees (24-19, 19-11) completed an HBCUAC sweep of Southern-New Orleans (21-23, 16-14) ... Cameron Haley went 5-for-9 with a double, a homer, two runs and six RBI as Benedict (23-16, 17-14)  rallied in both games to sweep a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader at Kentucky State (3-38, 1-29)  ... 

* Region 10: Florence-Darlington Tech (46-9, 26-4) scored the game's final five runs to complete a sweep of USC Union (28-21, 12-18) ... Jebb Britt pitched a five-inning two-hitter and USC Sumter (28-23, 14-16) took the rubber game of its Region 10 series with USC Salkehatchie (4-46, 3-27) ... Gaston College (38-13-1, 20-10) overwhelmed USC Lancaster (23-25, 15-15).
